January- February 2024

Mong United Equality Association instructed Hmong-American Actor and Director, Keivin Vang on Moob Leeb Folk Songs (Lug Txaj) for the original production titled “Nco Ntsoov Kev Cai & Story of Remembrance,” performed at the Luminary Center in Minneapolis, MN.

Mong United Equality Association taught a school residency on Moob Leeb Folk Songs (Lug Txaj) to students of Txuj Ci Hmong (Lower Campus) formally known as Phalen Lake Elementary School, with commitments from the school to teach the Mong Leng dialect within their curricula, provided by Mong United Equality Association.

November 2023

Mong United Equality Association executed its first official board training with incoming 2024 Board Members.

May 2024

Mong United Equality Association was invited to participate at the Asian Minnesota Day at the Capital.

President, Pang Her Vang was invited to do a presentation on traditional Hmong textiles in partnership with the artist and scholar, Oskar Ly and Hmong Museum located in St. Paul, MN.

Mong United Equality Association taught a school residency on Moob Leeb Folk Songs (Lug Txaj) to students of Henry High School.

With a coaltion from Sue Vang (District Program Facilitator), MN Zej Zog and Mong United Equality Association, the City of Minneapolis and its public schools have committed to a Multilingual Language Department that will offer a Hmong language program, honoring both the Mong Leng and Hmong Dawb (White dialect) within the city.

June 2024

Mong United Equality Association presented its first cultural and performance art show, featuring Hmong artists from all over the United States highlighting Moob Leeg musical instruments, traditional folk singing, and cultural demonstrations.

July 2024

Mong United Equality Association taught a school residency on Moob Leeb Folk Songs (Lug Txaj) to North Hennepin Community College located in Minneapolis, MN.

October 2024

Mong United Equality Association self-published their very first book, titled “Xyum Kawm Ntawv Moob Leeg” (Learn Mong Leeg).

December 2024

Mong United Equality Association was invited to perform traditional Moob Leeb Folk Songs (Lug Txaj) for Brooklyn Park’s Community Hmong New Year.
